Another Day, Another New Sprout

Whew! I don't know about the rest of you, but it is hot!!!  Yes, we are baking at a nice 80 degrees in Sunny Florida today!  My goodness, I went out to water my little sprouts and I could hardly stand it, just in the porch.  The humidity is high and that zaps me instantly.

Yesterday, was absolutely beautiful. Low humidity and very nice 70's. I have to put the ice pack on my pulse points to cool off or I'll get sick.  As I'm typing I have one under my arm pit. AH! I can feel it working already.  And, I wonder why so many love coming to Florida to live instead of shoveling snow!!!

Here are the latest pictures of my little seedlings. They are doing so great. The ones in the backyard are too, but I'll take their picture tomorrow, hopefully I won't wilt again. hehe!

I thought you might like to see where the inspiration came from and the colors for my room make-over. This lovely porcelain switch plate cover.  I chose the wall color from this and now the accent colors as well.
My nice new comforter is a cotton quilt with a pretty flower design quilted all over.
Do you know what next month is?  It is the memorial of Christ's death.  He commanded his followers to keep observing this date in remembrance of what he did for us, sacrificing his perfect human life so that we might gain back everlasting life on a paradise earth!  That date is April 17th at sundown.
We find that scripture at Luke 22:19, 20  This is what Jesus and God did for us, what are you doing for him to show your appreciation for that sacrifice?
It takes more than just saying you are a follower of Christ you have to be a doer of the word also.  Faith without works is dead in God's eyes.  And, a sobering thought is what Jesus said to those claiming to be his followers in his day.  Make sure you're not one of these.

Matthew 7:22, 23- Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?' And yet then I (Jesus) will confess to them: I never knew you get away from me you workers of lawlessness."

And, in verse 13-20 it goes on to explain what will happen that will determine between a true Christian and a false.  You can't just pick and choose what parts of the Bible you will follow and be acceptable in God's eyes.  It's an all or nothing kind of deal to be saved.

I hope this has encouraged you to look deeper and accept a study of the Bible with a trained teacher.  I can direct you to ones in your area.

Have a Blessed and Happy Day!
Marsha
