Find A Great Etsy Team To Join

Hello Dear Friends,

This is the last day of May! Where does the time go?  As long as you make good use of it you'll never have a regret later on in life.

I've been sharing with you a little about my daughter's and my shops we have on Etsy.  Let me share a little more about the Team's they have you may want to join to help grow your business as well as the last tip I shared with you about the BNR/BNS Treasury's.

Here is a list of the Team's Kayla and I belong to.

As you can see this is a great combination of team's we belong to.  We do a little on each team as we have the time available.  Some teams are no pressure which means there are no requirements to keep up with.  Whereas, other team's ask you to promote or make a Treasury so many times a month.

The team rules are posted for each team so you can decide which one best suites your needs and shop.  Why not try one of these on today?  It will help you get acquainted with other Artist's and grow your customer base in the process.  And, let's face it, who couldn't use more sales!

               A Time To Reflect..............

How do you treat other's?  Are you patient and kind. Do you treat them as you would want them to treat you?  In today's hectic world that is full of mounting pressures I find myself having to take things slow and simple in order not to let the world's attitude effect me.

I find it makes life much simpiler if I make a list and accomplish one thing at a time each day and do as much as I can that my health limitations will allow.  This may not be good enough for some people but, I can't let that get me down.

Ask yourself: Do I give other's the same consideration that I give myself?  Do I make a mountain out of a mole hill?  Do I enjoy making other's look bad just to make myself feel better?

Life is precious and relationships with other's is more precious than riches.  Be kind to one another and freely forgiving one another as your Heavenly Father freely forgave you.  Love covers a multitude of sins.

Enjoy this day and keep a firm hold on the "Real Life" to come.

Blessings to you all,

Marsha

Grow Your Customer's on Etsy

Happy Monday Everyone!  Welcome to all the new followers!  I'm so glad you've joined us.

Today, I'm going to share with you a great way to grow your customer base on Etsy.  The place for handmade Crafters to sell their stuff.

I've learned so much over the last 8 months about how to increase your customer base on Etsy.  It is wonderful to see my efforts pay off so fast.  One of the ways to find more customer's is join me in the Buy and Replace (BNR) Treasury's going on daily on Etsy.

If you don't even know what a Treasury is, then you are in for a real eye opener.  A BNR is a great and fun way to help grow your business and help other's do the same.  You just buy from one of the featured shops, like JeanpatchbyMK-little ole me-and then you get put in the next round of shopping fun.

I started joining in these about 3 weeks ago when my sales had dropped off the planet during Mother's Day.  What a difference it has made.  My sales are back up to 4 or more a week.

Not only have I increased my new customer base, but I've seen my Facebook page of fans grow and my follower's increase here on my blog as well.  I'm meeting lots of great and wonderful folks all over the U.S. and from around the world.

Why not give it a try today and come see what all the fuss is about.  Just pick out one thing from my shop you want and purchase it and then post the transaction id on the Treasury page link I'll give you in a minute and you'll be ready for your first fun filled experience of shopping fun.

Here we go:
May 28th!:

                                                        GARDEN UPDATE!

These are doing so good in the raised box and are climbing on the fence already.  I just left them all in here because the last time I moved them to the ground they died.  Since they can grow vertically, I'm going to put twine and let the others grow up to the framing overhead.

My Jasmine was in full bloom for the month of April on our dog kennel.  What a wonderful fragrance every time we opened the back door to let the dog and cat in and out of the house.  Now it you notice the white flowers behind the first picture, that is my Gardenia bush.  It is now full of huge white flowers and what a delicious fragrance they give off.

My neighbors on both sides just love it when they are in bloom.  The wind blows the odor into both of their yards.

Happy Shopping from my house to your house!

Blessings,
Marsha

Morning Glory Monday

Happy Morning Glory Monday to Ya,

Did you have a great weekend?  We love the weekends at my house.  It's time to spend with family and do needed chores together, set goals for upcoming weekends and spiritual meditation.  We are just like the flower "Morning Glory" we are bright and standing tall taking in all the sunshine, but come evening we tire out and shut down just like the flower does.

A few posts back I gave you the recipe for my daughter's gluten free coconut cookies.  She made another batch Saturday and here is the picture.  Even though it's hard not to eat them all in a day or two she uses great self-control and only eats one a day.  It's a little harder for my husband to only eat one a day.  He has such a sweet tooth! hehe!

                                                           Recipe of the Day!

Kayla's Eggplant & Zucchini Parmesan

Ingredients:
1 organic egg
2 tablespoons organic vegetable oil
1 large organic eggplant
2 medium organic zucchini
1 cup shredded organic Parmesan cheese
1 cup flavored organic breadcrumbs
Watkins organic garlic powder to taste
1 cup meatless organic spaghetti sauce
3/4 cup shredded organic mozzarella cheese 3 oz.

Prep:
Wash your vegetables and dry off.  Peel the eggplant and zucchini and slice in circles, crosswise 1/2 inch thickness.  Combine egg, 1 tablespoon oil and 1/2 the breadcrumbs in bowl, dip the vegetables on both sides and place in a large skillet with the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil and garlic to taste.  Cook over med heat for 4 to 6 minutes until golden brown, turning once.  Drain on paper towels or paper plates.

2. In a 2 quart baking dish, place a single layer of vegetables, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.  Top with the spaghetti sauce and the mozzarella cheese and garlic.  Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and well heated.

You always want to use organic vegetables and dairy products to avoid the added antibiotics, hormones and pesticides.

                                                      What's New In My Shop!

Tutorial Fun- that's what you'll find new in my shop.  You'll find fun and useful gift ideas that you can use for yourself.  I've added a paper gift bag tutorial, paper quilt greeting card tutorial, felt flower coaster tutorial in my Jeanpatch by Mk shop and a green tips cleaning product tutorial in my Vintage 50s Treasures shop.

                                                                May Contest

There is plenty of room on the list for the May Cookie Contest.  Is there anyone interested in sending in your recipe and a cookie to win the beautiful pair of earrings we are giving away from Reflections of Kayla this month?  I thought this would be such a great and easy contest, won't you play along!

                                                              Scripture of the Day!

Have you every driven on a dimly lit road or in the country where there are no roadside lights?  The only light you see is coming from your cars headlights showing you the way to go.  Without the headlights you would not be able to find your way.  The world today is like that dark country road the only place to find light to guide our steps is from God's word the Bible.  It tells us so at Psalms 119:105 which reads; "Your word is a lamp to my foot, and a light to my roadway."  If we read the Bible daily and apply what we read in our life then we will bring light to others who are still in darkness, spiritually.

Others can see your light by your fine conduct and your peace.  Reflect of the words found at Matthew chapter 5 verse 16. "Likewise let your light shine before men or women, that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens."

Do others seek you out for spiritual guidance?  Those we work with and associate with know they can ask us any question and we will show them the spiritual light found in God's word to help them find the answer.  We should always use the wisdom from above for our guidance.  Here is how God feels about wisdom from the world.  1 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 19, "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, for it is written: "He catches the wise in their own cunning."

Sending You Spiritual Light to guide you on your path.

Blessings,
Marsha

Vintage Hankie Quilt Project

Hello and Welcome to all Followers New and Old,

I haven't been myself this week since over doing it on Wednesday with medical appointments and errands.  I wanted to end the week with a fun project you can do over the weekend.  I love to barter for things I need and want and recently I made a great barter for an Anniversary gift for my dear husband's desk.  A great lamp from a fellow farm girl on Mary Jane's Farm forum.  In return I'm making her a Vintage Hankie Quilt.

It just needs the batting and the backing fabric and binding the edges and it will be a completed work of art.  I have to work on it a little each week since I don't have tons of energy anymore.  I think it turned out lovely.  I'll post a picture once I have it completed and ready to send my dear farm girl friend.

Here is what you'll need to do your own project.  With a sneak peak so you get the idea.

                                             Vintage Hankie Quilt

Supplies List:
1. Cotton fabric 1/2 yardage of 8 different colors and patterns that coordinate
2. cotton batting for twin size
3. vintage hankies in good condition and in different prints about 20
4. vintage buttons to match fabric large size
5. cotton floss different colors to match fabric in lights and darks
6. cotton backing fabric yardage twin size
7. embroidery hoop large

I folded the hankie in half and then folded the corners down to make a pretty look on this block.
I folded this hankie in a half to make the points the focal point, then appliqued it to the chenille fabric by hand.
I used a combination of hankies and quilt blocks on each fabric block.
4 blocks 17x12 in two prints
4 blocks 14x12 in two prints
4 blocks 12x6 in two prints
4 blocks 10x12 in four prints

That makes four blocks on each row with four rows across and down for a total of 16 blocks.  The first two rows will have all 8 prints used. And the same for the last two rows in different places.
Use one size block on each row in different positions the way you like.
Match up your hankies to the fabric block you choose.

Assembly

Start with your first two blocks and sew together vertically. Then the next two for row one.  Attach the four blocks together to complete row one. Now do the same for row two, three and four.
Once you have the four blocks sewn together for all four rows now sew row one and two together and then add row three and finally row four.  Now, you are ready for the next step, adding the hankies and quilt blocks.
Lay you completed blocks on your table or bed.  Start laying the hankies and quilt blocks on the one it matches up with best.  Play with the design, move them around until you get that perfect combination.  Now, pin each hankie or applique block in place with at least four pins.
Now you're ready to applique them on one by one.
Take your hoop and attach it to the first block and continue moving it to each block until you have them all appliqued.
Adding the Batting and Backing Fabric

Now take your cotton batting and lay it on top of your quilt and cut it to the right size.  Do the same for your backing fabric.  You should have the backing fabric on the bottom, then lay your batting on top then your finished quilt and pin all three layers together with quilting safety pins.
Cut your binding strips the length of all four sides 1 1/2 inches wide by the length of your quilt.  Pin the first strip right sides together on top of your quilt, sew it on.  Now fold it over and pin it on to the back of the backing fabric and sew it on.  Do the same for the next three sides.  Be careful on the corners making sure you fold the square corner in to make a triangle edge.
These are hand wash only.  Enjoy!  Post your finished project so we all can admire it together.

Keeping Life Simple from my home to your home!

Blessings,
Marsha

Shilly Shally Sunday

Shilly Shally Sunday-  Just doing a little of this and a little of that today.  Something spiritual and something relaxing and fun with the family in the afternoon.  Kayla is working today so she made the morning meeting with my Mom's congregation.  This was the special talk being given world-wide in over 100,000 congregations.  The title is "Bible Principles-Can They Help Us to Cope With Today's Problems?"

I don't know about you but I know we sure do appreciate hearing what the bible has to say on how to cope with the things going on in our life and around the world.  Knowing that the wisdom from God is far superior to human thinking.  We can't even solve the world hunger problem much less the economic issue.

                                                                   Poll Results

This was very interesting to me to see what 19 people wanted to see more of on my blog.  Here is the break-down.
