What are these used for-Old Sewing things! Farmgirl Barter
Darning spools 6 Spools of thread 10-vintage-plastic spools Braiding Aid-6
Scraps for CJ
Can someone tell me what these are used for. The silver cone shapes open at each end. Wooden bottles, black handle with wheel on the end has little ridges, yellow tool has metal ends.
The silver thinbgs are used to fold strips of fabric when you are making braided rugs and I believe the wheel with "teeth" is a marking tool for sewing, I htink you use it with dress-maker's carbon paper. Hope this helps. :)
The silver cone items are for making your own bias tape (see current issue of MaryJanes repairing quilts). Yes, the item with a wheel on it is for marking patterns with carbon paper...the REAL old fashioned way!
