Day 46: Keep Your Word

Day 46: Keep Your Word- Think about how you feel when someone tells you they're going to do something and then they don't keep their word.  Doesn't that cause you stress?  Well, the same is true with ourself if we don't keep our word it will cause stress on someone else and then in turn come back to us when they get upset and say you said you'd do this...

The Bible gives us the wise counsel to keep our word in the first place even if it causes you discomfort in some way.  It plainly states: "Let your word Yes! mean Yes, and your No!, no.
Keeping your word tells a lot about your truthfullness.  There is another scripture that says: " He that is faithful in little things will be faithful in much and he that is unrighteous in little things will be unrighteous in much".

So in other words, you are known for the kind of  person you truly are by God and your fellow man by the way you live your day to day life.  There can sometime be good reasons why we have to change what we said we'd do.  But, instead of just never following through why not plan what you promised at another time.

Day 45: Do Volunteer Work- As a Christian my family and I are very focused on helping our neighbors.  We volunteer hours of our time every week to bring people a hope for a better life to come that is promised in the Bible.

Even though most people don't see the value of that help, it brings us much joy because we know we are doing what Jesus commanded his disciples to do before he left the earth.  He even set the example for us by teaching his disciples how to go into villages and from house to house bringing people the message about God's kingdom.

We also help out our neighbors with other things when there is a need.  My husband is very handy so lots of the neighbors get his help on car repairs or home improvements.
