The Story of My Re-purposed Vintage Hankie Line

The Story of My Re-purposed Vintage
Hankie Line.....              Welcome to my newest followers!  And, a warm howdy to the long time followers!
Coming up with a new product line for 2012 was a fun creative process.  I wanted to do something neat with the vintage hankies I had been collecting over the past year.  It took time to figure out what I wanted to do and then it came to me.  Here is the story of how it all came together.

                                                               Checking Supplies
Making sure I had plenty of supplies on hand to start the project was my first thing on my to-do list.  There was plenty of ribbon, lace, buttons, fibers and most importantly hankies.  Now, what was I going to do with all this pile of supplies?  That was the big question.  So, I decided to sleep on it and then it came to me, I'll make a greeting card and mini album line out of them.

Creative Juices At Work......
They have all turned out to be beautiful works of art!  I am so proud of what putting a little ribbon and lace with a splash of buttons can do to a piece of cardstock.  I made sure to get plenty of feedback from my critics before I went any further.  The reviews were all the same, we love it!

Well, to an artist that is all you need to hear and those creative juices were unleashed!!!
The new line was in full swing now.  Picking out color groups was the next step. First, I started with reds, then blues, next yellows and finally purple.

                                                                Where I work........
Sitting on my nice comfy couch with sewing basket and supplies next to me!  Most of the embellishment is sewn by hand.  It finally had to use the sewing machine for attaching the hankie to the card stock.  My poor fingers were getting red and sore.

Just for my followers!
