Product Promotion Day: Deltona's Newman Vet Clinic on Deltona Blvd.

Smile you're on Candid Camera!  Do you remember that show back in the 70's?  Business owner's were caught off guard and surprised by the show host who would play funny tricks on them.  Well, I am taking my camera to local businesses and surprising them with products from my website Markets of Sunshine!  Wahoo!
It is great fun to see the surprise on their faces when I tell them they are receiving a free gift today from Markets of Sunshine vendors!  Today, I'll be going out to a local Vet's office here in Deltona, Florida, Newman Vet's located on Deltona Blvd.  They will be totally surprised.  I did visit their Twitter and Facebook pages and left a comment telling them I was coming.  We'll see if they read it or not by their reaction that I'll catch for you on camera later today.
I don't tell them what time I'm coming in and they don't know what I look like so it will be a totally candid moment.

What is an Etsy Treasury By Jeanpatch Holistics

Etsy is a unique website that hosts a variety of products from handmade, vintage items and supplies.  I opened my shop, Jeanpatch Holistics in 2008 and filled it with my handmade eco-friendly products in the mixed media arts.
One of the ways we can showcase our favorite products is by making what is called a 'treasury' of 16 shops in one collection.
The treasury can be shared on social media and promoted within Etsy by adding it to your favorites list.  There is a box that says favorite with a heart in it that will turn red when you click it.
It then gets added to your shop section with the heart icon.  You can come back later and see what items you added to your favorite section with the purpose of buying at some point in time.
Supporting the handmade artist is the best way to support small business and help the economy.  Here is a treasury I made that has just a few of the products and seller's that I like on Etsy.

Senior Discounts Age 50 Plus Tips!

Senior's get discounts at local businesses but you have to ask.  I turned 50 this year and never thought much about what that meant in the world of business until the AARP envelope came with my name on it.  Needless, to say I was horrified to see that I was now classified as a senior to many businesses.
I tossed the AARP in the trash and never thought much about what I was missing out on until I saw something my daughter brought home from work and left on the table.  I'm sure she didn't know what can of worms she was opening up for her dear Mother.
It actually has changed my thinking about being called a senior citizen, but in a good way!  I did a little research based on the paper my daughter brought home that contained a list of nationwide businesses that offer a senior discount, if you ask that is.
So, I googled by my state of Florida and came up with this list.  Do the same for your state and you'll be amazed to find out how many businesses you frequent offer a discount starting at the young age of 50.
I am going to cash in and get my fair share, honey!  Not only can you get a discount for a cup of coffee, but even your local grocery store gives a discount!  Now that is when I sat up and took notice, since that is one of our largest monthly costs, food!

Call you local businesses and speak to the manager and ask for a senior discount. If they don't offer one, give them reasons why they should, like taking your business to their competitor.  And, remember to use any coupons on the day you get your senior discount to really cash in on savings!

WHY I WANT TO WIN A MEMBERSHIP TO PRODUCT MARKETING BREAKTHROUGH

Entering contests is always a lot of fun, but few win the prizes.  In this great contest from Product Marketing Breakthrough, there are 5 prizes and even a consultation prize to all those who do not win.

Where is Your NIche Market Hiding?

Are you looking for work? Are you wanting to bring in an extra income? Many of us have some need to fill by bringing in an extra income or a main income.  So, we either start a business selling our handmade products, or we start a business in direct sales selling someone else's products.
Is that you?  I know I fit the bill on both counts.  But, you need to ask yourself a few questions.

Are you a business woman, or a woman in business?  If you are a woman in business, you don't really care how much time you put in your business or what results you'll get back.  You just want to have something fun to do to occupy your time. 
There is nothing wrong with that, but after a while you will find that you just decide to close your shop and go get a "real job" whatever that is.  

Oh, I know the "real jobs" are the ones where you go and clock in and out everyday and they tell you when to come to work and what they want you to do when you are at work.  They also give you the money they want to pay you every hour for the work that you do for their company.

But, if you are a business woman, you set your own hours, you decide how much you are going to make an hour, and you decide what you are going to sell for "your" company.

If you are a business woman, you are very serious about growing your business and you care deeply about the results you get from all the time, money and energy you put into making it a success.

This got me thinking.  How could I help other women like myself keep the majority of their profits and not give it to sites likes these that keep charging high fees when you are the one doing all the hard work?  Here is a little eye opener I just discovered about how to find out how many customers it takes for you to get one sale.  You better be sitting down when you crunch your own numbers.

Wherever, you sell from take the number of views each month and divide the number of sales you got for that month.  Now you know how many people you need to come to your shop just to make one sale.  For, my shop on Etsy, I need over 232 people to visit my shop every day just to get one sale.  But, there is no guarantee that when I do get 232 people come visit my shop that I will get a sale.  You see the problem?

So, I keep listing new products and relisting expired products and renewing products and Etsy keeps getting richer and richer.  But, I do not see the profit from all the money I keep putting into Etsy.  Are you doing the same thing on the site you sell from?   If you said Yes, then you need to come to my website and let us help you turn the tables around on these giants and start making an income for yourself and not making someone else rich.
