Day 21:Qualities That Reduce Stress

Day 21-Qualities That Reduce Stress- How can a quality reduce stress you may ask; A medical doctor explains the value of applying such Bible teachings as found at Galatians 5:22, 23, especially helpful in today's world to reduce stress. "Dealing respectfuly with people:, he says, "is a big stress reliever."

What are these qualities? Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness and self-control, which are called "the fruitage of God's spirit."  The Bible also helps us cultivate modesty, which means having a moderate estimate of our abilities. Micah 6:8

As hard as this may be to cultivate, we may need to learn when and how to say no to demands that exceed what we realistically can handle. One way to adopt these qualities is to not expect perfection of yourself or others. Ecclesiastes 7:16

Day 20: Meditate- I love to read the Bible and I subscribe to Bible journals that teach us how to apply scriptures in our life to be happier servants of God in these difficult last days.  I find that when I meditate on these articles and the scriptures that I have read brings me the most peace and calmness of anything else I've tried.
They are always filled with timely articles of current events to help people cope with today's hardships and articles of other Christian's who have faced difficulities in their life and how they coped by applying Bible principles.
In fact the June issue of this year was based on how to relief stress.  And, it's not just based on secular knowledge it gives you the Bible scriptures so you can turn to God for help directly.
The July issue is based on the unemplyment issue and give tips of how to live on less income. This is a power packed article with great tips and again scriptures to help you to cope with a loss of reduced income.  I've applies their suggestions in our family and they really work and have helped us to be happier and look for ways to cope with living on less income nowadays.
Just ask me if you'd like these issues, I have extra copies I'd be glad to send to you.

I love when I'm reading the bible and can just see what they must be going through, you can almost hear the sounds, the smells and their emotions. I often stop to just take it all in. Take in all the love that the Lord is giving from the beginning of time. Reading the scripture helps me to relax and feel safe. Brenda
