Day 14: Getting Rid Of Fears

Day 14: Getting Rid Of Fears- Fear isn't something to fear. It is something to understand, so it can become a tool for achieving your dreams.

Fear, you see, is a placemark that takes note of where your pages of resistance lie. It also is a natural response when you journey to uncharted territory in life. It is going outside your comfort zone.

So don't try to run away from fear, meet it headon. Listen to what your fears are trying to tell you about yourself. Only then can you move forward in life and follow your dreams.

Day 13: DIY Massage- This one I learned years ago from a cable show all about organic living and relaxing. I don't usually massage my feet, but I do like to massage my scalp. I find that it relaxes me the best. At the end of the day I like my daughter to massage my hands right before I go to sleep. And, if my dear husband isn't too tired he'll massage my feet and lower legs. I find that is where most of my tensions end up. It also helps my digestion and circulation.

I made a big step this year in facing fear. DD asked me to try a water aerobics class with her. I have been terrified of the water since I was a small kid and fell in a lake. As a teenager I even tried a Charlie Tuna/chicken of the sea class and couldn't continue. But DD was trying to lose weight and I forced myself to encourage her.
But this has been wonderful, it has given me such a feeling of power! At first, even with a floatation belt I would stay in the shallow end and come close to panic at times.
But I found out I can do this and truely enjoy it! We have gone once or twice a week for almost a year now.

I also like to massage my scalp. It does wonders for a headache. If I've not fallen asleep before DH comes to bed he will massage my neck and shoulders and back. I tend to carry my stress in my neck and shoulders. Brenda
